Latest News:
On Saturday, August 21, the Fredericksburg Area Running Club lost one of their own. Richard Vesey, the 4th President of the club, died at the early age of 47 years old.
Richard and Karen Vesey were very involved in the Club and it's activities for years before moving to Madison, Mississippi a few years ago.
Richard was key in leading the club for three years, and was very involved even though he never considered himself a runner.
Members of the club have very fond memories of him, and for those of you who would like to honor his memory, donations can be made at www.livestrong.com foundation.
If you have any special memories of Richard please email
Debi Bernardes. When Karen comes back to town we will hold a special memorial PARTY to celebrate Richard's life.

5k Run For Mental Wellness, July 25th
A HUGE thank you to FARC and race directors Vic Culp, Bob Brammer and
Mary Wheatley for their experience and knowledge that afforded a
successful race amidst my car crisis. And most importantly, thank you to
each runner in the race last Sunday morning for your understanding of
unexpected events that could have delayed the race on a very hot day.
Refund checks have been mailed to the two runners who registered twice
online in error, and letters mailed to runners who ordered shirts and
did not pick them up.
The Board of Directors and staff at Mental Health America of
Fredericksburg are grateful for your continued participation in this
annual event for our nonprofit agency that raises funds to provide FREE
programs and services for people in our community who face mental health
challenges.
A tip – if you are in the Tappahannock area in the early morning on a
weekend, please tell your car to stay well as all the tow truck drivers
are on the “rivah” fishing!
