The Saturday Run
We host social runs every Saturday in downtown Fredericksburg. Runs start at the corner of William Street and Princess Anne Street, diagonally across the intersection from Hyperion Espresso, near the museum’s north entrance, 907 Princess Anne St.
We start on the hour: Labor Day starts our 8am season; Memorial Day starts our 7am season. Be there 10 minutes early for announcements and for our weekly group photo.
The standard course is 6 miles, but some folks run a 3 mile route and others do their own thing completely. See some of our routes. While we don’t run the route as a single group–because there are so many paces and distances–we almost always have enough people in attendance to buddy up new folks with someone looking to do a similar pace and distance. We REALLY can accommodate almost any pace or distance–so please don’t hesitate to come out, even if you are fairly new to running!
Afterwards many of us hang around for coffee and chat.
The Monthly Social Run
Same fun, new venues. Monthly social runs are kicking off starting this month!
Since the closing of Red Dragon, we’ve come up with a new system we think you will like. On ODD months, we will meet at Sammy T’s on the second WEDNESDAY of the month. On EVEN months, we will meet at Billiken’s on the second THURSDAY of the month. Our events will continue to start at 6:00 pm. Psst… there’s a rumor about dollar beers at Billiken’s and karaoke!
